Landon's Christmas Program

Tonight Landon had his first, of I'm sure many, Christmas programs. His class sang "Jingle Bells" and he did very well! As you can hear in the background, there were a few unhappy toddlers that did not want to be singing tonight! I promise, no toddlers were harmed in the making of this film!

Birthday Party at DAC Kids

Our neighbors, and good friends, Kylie and Kade had their birthday party this evening. Kylie turned 5 and Kade turned 2! They had the birthday party at jumpy place that is modeled after a pirate ship complete with a huge sandbox and cannons! Landon had so much fun! Even Logan enjoyed it! I think we will have to visit this place again. Happy Birthday guys!!

Visit with Santa!

Since Michael was home from work today we went to visit Santa Claus at Towne Center Mall. We had a very good experience! Nobody cried! Landon even told Santa what he wants. I didn't get any smiles, but I'll take it :)

Sportykes

Landon and Jackson

Landon and Coach Laura

The end of class
Coach Laura gets all the kids to touch the ball to get them to be still (good idea!)

Kicking the ball

Our recreation department has some really great programs for kids Landon's age. This past session we tried out Sportykes, which is a class for 2 year olds that touches on tball, basketball, and soccer (2wks of each). Landon loves it! And he loves his teacher, Coach Laura. She always gives the kids a stamp, a sticker, AND a sucker! He also has a friend in there from our playgroup, Jackson. They have a ball together! This morning was our last class and the parents were allowed to come in and participate and take pictures. We had so much fun that we are signed up for next session!

Some cute pics...

Santa is here!

After much deliberation, we decided to get a tree this year. I was a little hesitant to get one because of Logan, but Michael never listens to the way I feel about things and he and Landon outvoted me! I am very happy we got a tree and I love it! Landon also loves our tree and always is asking for "more stuff" to put on it. We've used all of our ornaments already, so we got some candy canes and we also made some ornaments for him to put on and take off. He loves it!!

Riding the Pink Pig at Macy's

This afternoon we decided to take the boys to ride the Pink Pig at Macy's in Lenox Mall. We had taken Landon last year and had a good time. The boys really enjoyed riding the little train and did really well despite the long line and the Christmas crowds! We ate dinner at the Food Court and came on home, the whole outing took 3 hours!!! Doing the mall thing with 2 little ones is no fun!

The wheels on the bus...

For Landon's 1st Birthday my Meme got him a ride on bus which he absolutely loved! And still loves! Logan is finally big enough to get on...when Landon allows him to!

A First!

The only time that Logan gets a bottle is when I am out doing something and I'm not there to nurse him. And I really hate missing a feeding, those of you who have breastfed can sympathize with the hassle of pumping and/or getting "full". But Saturday night I went to a shopping party at a friend's house and left the boys with Michael. Landon got his first time at feeding Logan! Michael said he did very well, and when he was tired of holding the bottle said "Logan is done now"! I thought these pictures were precious and I was a little sad to have missed this moment!

A Cold, Rainy Day Activity

Last year at a consignment sale I bought a set of tents with a tunnel and probably close to 300 plastic balls. I really hate the balls, they make such a mess and I am constantly finding them all through the house, even after I have cleaned them up a thousand times! BUT, they keep those 2 boys occupied! So, I keep them around because they have such a blast!

Mommy got to sleep in!

Last weekend Michael took the boys in the morning and let me sleep in for a little while! Being the sucker of a breastfeeding mom that I am, I still get up around 5:30am to nurse Logan. This is something I am working on though and hopefully will be pushing up slowly to make him last all night. Michael was sweet enough to take the boys and feed them breakfast and then play...I got a whole extra hour!!! And I think the boys enjoyed their Daddy time!

Just a thought...

Landon is a very particular child. He likes things a certain way and once he is in a routine, you can't break him of it. The "Easter Bunny" brought Landon some sunglasses last Easter. At the time, the Easter Bunny did not realize how much of an impact these "Cars" themed sunglasses would have on Landon! Now, as soon as we get in the van Landon has to have his sunglasses. He sees us wearing them I guess and now he's figured out he doesn't like the sun in his eyes at all. If we do not have these sunglasses all hell breaks loose! I really need to get another pair...maybe Santa Claus will pull through!

Monkey Joe's at Home!

Last Saturday we were cleaning out the garage and got out the inflatable pool that we had for the summer. It was still blown up, but being November we were not going to fill it up with water. So, we decided to fill it up with plastic balls! It was a real hit and attracted most of the kids on our street! Logan got in on the action as well, the big kids love to play with him.

Happy Halloween!

We celebrated Halloween this evening! Michael came home early from work and we finally got our pumpkin carved. Usually we do this at least the weekend before, but we've all been sick so we haven't gotten around to it. After carving our pumpkin, we joined our neighbors in the culdesac for a pizza party and then hit the streets for trick-or-treating! Landon was supposed to be a pirate and went to school as a pirate this morning, but when he saw his Nemo costume from last year he had to be Nemo again! Logan was a frog, which was Landon's costume from his first Halloween. We have a HUGE neighborhood and didn't come close to even making a dent in it, but Landon got a lot of candy and became a really good "trick-or-treater" saying "trick or treat" and then "thank you". Now for Mommy to go pick out the good candy and put the kids to bed!!

Farm Festival

Landon's school had a farm festival last Friday. They had different games set up and after each one you played you got to a pick a prize. I think it was supposed to be held outside, but that was one of the Friday's that was a complete washout, so it was held inside. I think it would have been more enjoyable outside for the kids, it was very loud and crowded and I think Landon got overwhelmed. I didn't get many pictures, and the ones I got didn't turn out very good, but I did get one of the two both looking at me half way smiling!

A trip to the playground!

Rock Climbing

Thank goodness we live in Georgia, where the weather is still warm in October! Going to the playground is always a good thing to do when you want to keep both kids busy and wear them out at the same time. Logan really enjoyed crawling around and trying to put bark in his mouth and Landon enjoyed the freedom of being able to run up and down stairs and slide down the slide many times!
