Kick N Drive

Remember the Kick N Drive Kim? I got mine out the other day for Logan! He has started being able to hold himself up a little longer every time I sit him up and he does really well sitting in front of this and playing. I think he can lean towards it so it helps him hold his balance. I have some very similar pictures of Landon about the same age sitting and playing with it!

Blue Ice Cream

We have an ice cream man that comes down our street and Landon thinks he is awesome! His favorite ice cream is a "blue dude" with bubble gum eyeballs. I did not get a shot of him eating the ice cream, but I've got a shot of his blue mouth and hands! YUMMY! Gotta love the $2 ice cream!

We planted our first plant today!

We accidentally celebrated our one year anniversary of living in our house by planting our first plant today!! It is a pink hydrangea that my parents brought me last weekend when they came to visit. I love hydrangeas and I've always wanted a pink one! Did you know that the color of hydrangea depends solely on the acidity of the soil? If you have a blue hydrangea you should be able to add lime and PRESTO, you will have PINK hydrangeas! Never knew that! Anyways, it was a great project for Landon to help out with. Unfortunately, we planted it in the wrong spot where there is too much sun. We had to dig it up and are now reviving it in it's pot. To the other side of the house it goes!

The Pool

We went to the pool this evening. Usually the pool is something we all look forward to and enjoy, tonight was different unfortunately. Landon did not want to go and we had to force him in his swimsuit, usually he won't stop talking about it! Once we got there everyone was fine, kinda. Logan really enjoys being in the water and has fun playing with Landon! All I got to say about this is that I'm glad the first trip to the pool with both boys did not go this way, or else we may have never returned! Better luck next time!

Bubbles work best before 8:00am!

Saturday morning was a very early morning in our house! Landon decided to arise at 6:30am, a lot earlier than his usual 8am! After requesting donuts (which Mommy decided to go get from Dunkin Donuts), we headed outside...it wasn't even 7:30! Landon got out his bubble mower and went to work on the front yard. The grass was still so wet from the dew that the bubbles did not pop, but left a trail behind him. It was actually very beautiful! Afterwards, Landon tried his hand at his new gymnastics move that he's learned from the girls down the street!

Yes, I let my kids watch TV...

Let me begin by saying that I keep a Baby Einstein on "Repeat Play" always. You never know when one of the boys may need a little quiet "alone" time with the repetitive sounds of Baby Einstein, lately being the joyous sounds and sights of "World Animals". The other day Mommy was needing a little "alone" time and turned it on. You can tell that the world stops when Baby Einstein is on!

Brotherly Love

Now that Logan is just a little older it is easier for Landon to hold him. Logan seems to enjoy sitting with his big brother!

Monster Mash

I just thought this was a cute picture. This morning Landon wanted to wear his monster house shoes. We have actually been to Target in these shoes before! Just wanted to share the pic!

Logan is 4 months old!

Logan turned 4 months old on this past Saturday! With that comes a doctor's appointment and the go ahead for cereal! YAY! Logan weighs in at a whopping 17lbs 3oz and measures 24inches. He is rolling over both ways and pushes with his legs when he is on his tummy. He grabs for toys and loves to play with big brother. Trying cereal for the first time went very well. He didn't like it as much as Landon did, but after a second night of trying he did much better. I just can't believe that he's already 4 months old! Wow, time really flies these days!!!

I can't believe I have these two boys...

Since we've had Logan our lives have totally changed. Some days are great and everything goes smoothly and then there are the days that leave me feeling so frazzled. We now have very little time for ourselves, the house is not always clean, and we don't eat healthy, homecooked meals every night. But, with all of that said, Logan has totally completed our family! I was so amazed when we had Landon what it was like to have a person that grows and flourishes in front of you, and now we have somebody else to watch. It's absolutely amazing! Especially when you watch the two of them together. Landon loves Logan so much and it's so easy to see it. This afternoon I had Logan on his mat on the floor and Landon came up to me and said " I want to lay on mat with baby". They laid there together and played and I grabbed the camera. I feel so blessed to be able to experience moments like this where I see my 2 year old talking to and playing with my 4mos old. Parenthood is tough but so worth it! So, it's times like these where I think, " I can't believe that I have these two boys". :)

Logan's Got A Girl-Friend!

This morning we had our playgroup over for a playdate. Just imagine it...10 mommies, 10 2 year olds, and then 4 babies! I know all of you are jealous that you were not in attendance! Actually we all have a lot of fun:)The playgroup we found really saved Landon and I when we first moved to Woodstock. We've made some great friends! One of our friends had a little girl, Caroline, a week before Logan was born. Today the two babies were really into each other, Caroline was trying to hold Logan's hand and Logan was loudly expressing his love for Caroline! It was so cute we had to grab the camera!

We borrowed this jumperoo from our neighbors and Logan absolutely LOVES it! I can usually make him last 10-15 minutes in it. Thanks Mike and Lynne!!!
Landon has gotten into playing with this shape sorter that he got for his first Christmas from his Aunt Jamie...it's just taken him awhile to figure the shapes out.

The Worm

It's been raining everyday for the last week and I guess the creepy crawlers are coming out into the wet soil. Landon stumbled upon one the other morning and had a worm "pet" while we were outside...poor worm. I am going to have to get over the squeemies with bugs and critters with two boys, but the sight of my clean, fresh dressed child holding a slimy,dirty worm was more than I could handle though I did manage to get a couple of pics. We finally coaxed Landon to let his worm friend go promising that he would visit again soon.

Chuck E Cheese!

After Michael dropped our camera at the 4th of July Parade on Friday we had to go out and buy a new camera. We decided to go a couple of exits down to the Barrett Pkwy area (Town Center Mall). Near the mall is the yummiest restaurant, J. Christopher's, if you've never been you need to find a close one and try it out for breakfast/brunch/lunch. I was so excited that we were going to be in that area around that time (they close at 2pm) and I was set that we would eat lunch there! Um, no! Michael informed me that Landon would not enjoy eating "brunch" there and we would be better off not going there. Jokingly I said, "Let's go to ChuckECheese". Should have kept my mouth SHUT! So we ended up at ChuckECheese on a rainy Sunday at lunchtime with lots of other whiny kids! I have to admit, Landon had a wonderful time riding the rides and playing the little games. He especially liked the part about cashing in his 30 tickets for a fruit chew and a plastic ant! We actually went back today for a friend's birthday party and he had even more fun! So, the pizza was nothing compared to the San Bernadino omelette that I was craving, but the joy on my 2 year old's face made me forget about it. I'll make it back to J. Christopher's sometime:)

Parade Cont...

Woodstock's Fourth of July Parade

We decided to brave the crowds and the heat this morning and take both boys to the parade this morning in downtown Woodstock. I was not sure how Logan would do but we were just going to give it a go! They both actually did very well! We watched about an hour of the parade without any trouble and then decided to check out the fair in the park and grab some lunch. Landon enjoyed seeing the firetrucks, police motorcycles, and horses in the parade. He REALLY enjoyed catching the candy that they were throwing off the vehicles! He managed to hide some in his pockets and eat it later without us knowing! We had a lot of fun this morning and I'm really glad we were able to celebrate the Fourth as a family! The pictures are of us waiting on the parade and before Michael dropped the camera and broke the zoom on it! Guess we'll be hitting the Fourth of July sales for a new camera this weekend! Happy Fourth to everyone!

Our Morning Routine

Since Michael started his new job, we have a new morning routine that has really been great! Michael now works on Howell Mill Road, which to explain easily is a little north of Atlantic Station. This means that his commute could possibly be horrendous due to rush hour traffic! After some thought, we decided to try him doing a new schedule that would help him dodge this daily horror. Now Michael leaves the house around 9am and is able to get to work in 30 min! Much better than the hour it would take if he left at 6:30 or 7! He does get home later, around 7pm, but we have really enjoyed having daddy around in the morning! I like it because I have help getting the boys dressed and fed in the morning, plus I get to get a shower and get completely ready without having to deal with the boys! We also get a little playtime in the morning and usually eat breakfast outside on our porch. This morning we got a few shots of Landon riding his scooter and then the boys enjoying breakfast before daddy had to go to work.

Rub-A-Dub-Dub...Logan is in the big bathtub!

Logan has officially graduated from the baby bathtub to the real bathtub! He had started to literally flip himself out of the baby tub and so I went searching for a bathseat. I found this one yesterday and decided to give it a try. He isn't quite old enough to sit on his own, but he can do a pretty good job of leaning forward. Logan seemed really happy to be taking a bath with his big brother, and Landon was equally thrilled. Landon helped wash Logan's toes and showed him the bath toys. I can't believe I've got two little boys in the tub together now!

Dinnertime

Sunday night I decided to get the highchair out and try Logan in it. I feel so bad when he is the bouncy seat or swing and he's behind us at the dinner table, I feel like he is missing out on "family time". I also wanted to go ahead and get him used to sitting in it because we will be starting cereal in a couple of weeks! Landon was very excited that Logan was sitting at the table with us, now everybody has a seat!
