Happy Halloween!

We celebrated Halloween this evening! Michael came home early from work and we finally got our pumpkin carved. Usually we do this at least the weekend before, but we've all been sick so we haven't gotten around to it. After carving our pumpkin, we joined our neighbors in the culdesac for a pizza party and then hit the streets for trick-or-treating! Landon was supposed to be a pirate and went to school as a pirate this morning, but when he saw his Nemo costume from last year he had to be Nemo again! Logan was a frog, which was Landon's costume from his first Halloween. We have a HUGE neighborhood and didn't come close to even making a dent in it, but Landon got a lot of candy and became a really good "trick-or-treater" saying "trick or treat" and then "thank you". Now for Mommy to go pick out the good candy and put the kids to bed!!

Farm Festival

Landon's school had a farm festival last Friday. They had different games set up and after each one you played you got to a pick a prize. I think it was supposed to be held outside, but that was one of the Friday's that was a complete washout, so it was held inside. I think it would have been more enjoyable outside for the kids, it was very loud and crowded and I think Landon got overwhelmed. I didn't get many pictures, and the ones I got didn't turn out very good, but I did get one of the two both looking at me half way smiling!

A trip to the playground!

Rock Climbing

Thank goodness we live in Georgia, where the weather is still warm in October! Going to the playground is always a good thing to do when you want to keep both kids busy and wear them out at the same time. Logan really enjoyed crawling around and trying to put bark in his mouth and Landon enjoyed the freedom of being able to run up and down stairs and slide down the slide many times!

Berry Patch Farms

It looks like this lady is choking my child! He didn't move a muscle, I think he was scared of her!

Our little "pumpkin"

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to get out and go pick a pumpkin at one of the pumpkin patches near our house. Everyone was finally healthy again and we were tired of being stuck at home. Berry Patch Farms is great! There are some small farm animals to pet, face painting, hay rides, lots of pumpkins, and my favorite the fried apple pies! Landon really enjoyed it this year! I think Logan liked climbing all over the pumpkins!

Did I ever mention I hate lizards?

Well, Landon has developed a liking to the creature now! We have quite a few lizards that enjoy our back patio and one day Daddy caught one and gave it to Landon to show me!

This is what I see every morning now!

Logan at 8 months old

Logan has been standing up for quite a while now, but I always love walking in his room after he has woken up and seeing him standing there, bouncing up and down, and calling out in his crib! We got a similar picture of Landon when he was around the same age!

Is your house baby-proof?

Halloween Cookie Fun

Last night we baked Ghost, Cat, and Pumpkin shaped cookies. Unfortunately our cookies did not hold their shape through the baking process and we had a baking sheet cookie. We still had fun decorating and then eating them!

Weebles Wobble But They Don't Fall Down

When Landon was about 10 months old I bought this Weebles set at a consignment sale. He loved it, but had grown out of it by last fall. Until we started getting out his old toys for Logan to play with! This is now amongst his new "my favorite toys". Logan also really likes to play with the Weebles, but unfortunate for him he has a brother who won the award for the Most Hoarding in preschool! Landon will let Logan watch and sometimes let him touch a Weeble, but for the most part Logan has to find something else to play with that Landon does not like. Oh well, we'll get through it and hopefully Logan will get a chance to play sometime.

Logan is pulling up!

Logan is almost 7 months and he has started pulling up about 3 weeks ago!!! This picture was taken one night before bath. I had put Logan in the bathroom and went to his room to get his pj's ready, when I walked back around the corner and this is what I found. I called Michael to grab the camera! I'm not quite sure how ready I am for this stage! This only means that walking is that much closer, but I think Logan is ready to be able to keep up with Landon! Also to update, Logan had his 6mos checkup last week. He was 19lbs 11oz, so a big boy but not as big as Landon at that age! He's eating well and is sleeping through the night! I am very happy with the schedule that we have created and maintained pretty well :)
