Look Mom, I can sit up!

Logan is officially sitting up on his own without any assistance...YAY!!! It is now his favorite thing to do! He just sits in the floor and plays all day with Landon and the toys:) He has also been pushing up on his hands and knees and rocking. He can already do the army crawl, so now I'm just waiting for that day when he takes off! He's growing up so fast, I can't believe we are coming up on 6 months!!

Landon the Fireman

A few days ago we were playing in the garage because is was raining. All of a sudden we hear some sirens that are really close and look up the street and there are 2 huge firetrucks! So, I strap Logan into the Bjorn holder, grad the umbrella, and we head up the hill to check out the firetrucks...along with all the other kids on our street. Come to find out, the surge protector had a short in it and caused a small electrical fire. Everybody was okay and there wasn't much damage luckily. The fireman came over to the group and showed everyone what the surge protector looked like and even handed out fire hats! Who knew that the fireman keep those in the trucks:) Landon even gave a "high five" to one of the fireman that was dressed in his complete gear! Landon was in little boy heaven! He LOVES fire trucks! He still carries his hat around and talks about the day he met a fireman:)

It's been awhile...

I'm writing a quick note to let everyone that checks our blog that I'm sorry that I haven't posted any new entries lately. We've been busy, the boys have had colds, the Olympics have consumed my life, and Landon is getting ready to start school. I have a few pics that I need to get on here that are blog worthy and tomorrow morning is a big morning for us, Landon is starting the 2 year old program at his school! We met his teacher, Mrs. Beth, on Friday and he really seemed to take to her. So, look for some new posts and hopefully for me to get back into regular posting here in the next couple of days!!

Dancing Moves and Laughing Baby

Logan LOVES LOVES LOVES to watch Landon do everything! He watches him like he is studying his every move, ready to do it himself. And you can also see that he's getting up on those knees, about ready to start crawling! Logan is growing up so fast and I love watching these two boys starting to interact and play!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles...

At the Children's Museum on Monday I had to have a way to quietly and easily exit the building without a huge meltdown from my sweet, adorable and VERY headstrong 2 year old! What better way than a stop at the gift shop conveniently located right by the door! Landon picked out a set of puzzles that are boats, planes, trucks/tractors, and emergency vehicles. Have I ever mentioned this kid LOVES any type of moving vehicle? We can't make it to the end of the street without him yelling out that he's seen some various type of mode of transportation! Here he is telling me what all of his pieces are.

Visit to Imagine It! Children's Museum

On Monday I took the boys to the Children's Museum in Atlanta for a couple of hours and then we had lunch with Michael before heading home. The museum is so much fun and there is lots to do, I've been toying with buying a membership actually! It is right across the street from Centennial Olympic Park and down the street from the Aquarium, World of Coke, and lots of other fun things to do! A huge plus is that it is only a few minutes from Michael's work, afterwards we can go eat lunch with Daddy! Landon is always excited to take a trip into the city and look at the big buildings. Unfortunately for our trip yesterday I had left the memory card for my camera in the computer, so I only had my phone. But with two boys I don't think I could've taken a ton of pictures anyways!!!

Playing with "Natty"

Don't make Natalie mad!!!
The two babies checking each other out. Brady is just 3 months younger than Logan.

This past Saturday we visited Michael's brother, Andy, and his family and tried out their new pool! Landon got to play with his cousins and I think had a really good time getting to play with "Natty", Natalie, who is just a few months older than Landon. We also caught Logan playing with Brady and trying to suck on his fist! I'm so glad that we've actually made it out there to visit twice this summer and allowed Landon to actually figure out who his cousins are! We had a lot of fun!!!

Some more pics from Ka-Ka and Pops'

Helping Pops in the garden.
Logan enjoyed playing in a different exersaucer!
This was the day that we didn't have any air due to the replacement...hence just the diaper! Plus Landon loves to try on Ka-Ka's red shoes!

Ka-Ka and Pops' House

Landon eating a plum! YUMMY!
Logan LOVES to swim!
I love this picture! Landon had so much fun at the garden!

This past week Landon, Logan and I visited Ka-Ka and Pops' house. Our days were filled with fun, but our nights not so much! Logan did not sleep well at all and I was up half the night the first two nights we were there! I was EXHAUSTED! For the most part the week was great! We went swimming, Landon helped Pops pick some corn, we played with a new friend, and we got to see Aunt Jamie! My mom's friend from childhood and her daughter and grandson came to play on Thursday. Benjamin is 18 months old but was quick enough to keep up with Landon! The boys had fun swimming and then playing with some toys inside. It was a very special treat to get to spend some time with Aunt Jamie too! We don't get to see her very often since she's away at college! Also while we were there, my parent's had their AC unit replaced in the downstairs and it was a HOT HOT HOT day! Thank goodness for the pool! We had so much fun and though I'm glad to be home and see Michael, I miss being with my parents. Landon has such a good time staying with them and they are so good to him! I look forward to the days when Logan is a little older and I can send them both down to Ka-Ka and Pops' house for a few days where they can experience new and different things!
